IN HIM

Text : 2 Corinthians 5:21.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Your true identity as a child of God is only found in Christ.

Christ who knew no sin was made sin for us so we can be made righteous in Him. Now, it will be anomaly for you not to be in Christ and still claim to be righteous in God.

Isaiah 64:6 says But we are all as an unclean thing, _and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Again, Romans 3:23 says *For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;* So it's clear that man in himself has no capacity to work out God's righteousness. 

However, if we are God's children, we are expected to be righteous as our Father (God) is righteous. 1 Peter 1:16. This is a feat that can only be achieved when you are in Christ.

To be in Christ is a full time occupation. IN HIM WE LIVE, WE MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING. Acts 17:28. That is, your life, your existence and all is done and lived inside Jesus Christ.

No one outside Christ can live a life pleasing to the Father. Jesus died to give you His life so you can give Him your life in exchange. 

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.Colossians 3:3.

The big question is, Are you living in Him?

Is your life truly hidden in Christ?

1.) Father God, I hand over the totality of my life to you afresh and receive the live of Christ in me.

WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil. You will  notice there is a similar feature of the number *40(forty)* between these two wilderness experiences. That is, that of the Israelites and our Lord Jesus Christ. GULLIBLE BUT INTELLIGENT

Text : Mat 25:31-32  *When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:*   *And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:*  Have you ever wondered why Jesus compared His followers to sheep and not goats?  Sheep has reputation for being stupid, defenceless and harmless creatures that mope about on hillsides doing not very much.
