Text : Proverbs 10:22.
The blessing from the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow to it.
Everyone is looking for greener pasture, but the only one that can make you live in green pasture is the Lord.
The rate at which people are migrating to the so called developed Countries is quite alarming.
From the word go, the fallen nature in man has always been in search of greener pasture. But the truth is, not very many actually found this GREENER pasture they frantically search.
To some, Ukraine was a GREENER pasture until few months now. Anyone who was denied visa to Ukraine about a year ago will have cause to be grateful to God now.
This is why it is essential to seek the face of God concerning every facet of your life and this include your choice of where to live.
When Lot (Abraham's nephew) was told to make a choice of where he would like to settle, he simply chose the so called greener pasture of that time.
Lot looked around and noticed that the whole Jordan plain as far as Zoar was well-watered like the garden of the LORD or like the land of Egypt. (This was before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)Gen. 13:10.
He simply chose by sight, he forgot completely that *as children of God, we live by Faith and not by sight.* 2 Cor. 5:7.
In the eyes of Lot, and by logical calculations or reasoning, he had chosen the choicest part, (a decision which any natural man will conveniently make).
Infact, the Bible says, the place looked like the garden of the LORD.
A number of times, evil things are wrapped in beautiful covers. Don't be deceived by the looks, because looks are deceptive. Not all that glitters is gold.
It may look like the garden of the Lord, but if it's not from God, it's not of God. God is only committed to His own.
However, Lot didn't have to live long in Sodom before he realised that he had chosen wrongly. Unfortunately, he lost his wife and the chastity of his two daughters to that choice.
Man lacks the capacity to choose correctly. If what you seek is a blessing devoid of sorrow, then your only option is God.* He is the only one who can direct your steps, He is the only one who gives lasting blessings with no sorrow attached.
It is wisdom to commit your tommorrow to the only wise God who alone knows what tommorrow holds.
Bible reading: :Psalms 23:1-6.
