DON'T BE WEAK

TEXT : Romans 4:19

*And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:*

*God's promise is Yes and Amen always. He has never failed because He can never fail.*  But for every of His promise to you, you need faith to receive it.

Little wonder Hebrews 11:6 says *without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who diligently search for him.*

Faith is one commodity you can't afford to joke with as a child of God.

By nature, man only believes in what he can see and touch. But as a child of God,  you are not supposed to dwell within the natural realm but in the spiritual.

In God's kingdom, we live by Faith and not by sight. 2 Cor. 5:7.
A number of times, we are been limited and cheated because of the "seen realities".

*When you dwell on your senses, you get your faith weakened.*

Humanly speaking,  Abraham's faith should  have been weakened by the obvious realities surrounding him.
The Bible says, his body was as good as dead, He was well stricken in age ( almost 100years of age), and his wife's womb was already dead. Rom. 4:19. Yet he goes about telling people that his name is Abraham, Father of many nations.

Abraham refused to allow his present situation to define his ultimate destination.

Like Abraham, *do not allow your present situation define your destination.*

Abraham was able to enter into the plan and purpose of God for his life because he was not weakened in faith.

The only time you will know whether you have a weak or strong faith is when you are faced with challenges.

Proverbs 24:10 says If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

To have a strong faith is simply to take God at His words regardless of the seemingly obvious realities.

God is not limited by your challenges or circumstances. Not believing God in the face of difficulties is simply saying those circumstances are bigger than God.

Do not be weak in faith,  regardless of the situation,  God is more than able to do what He says He will do.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Tell God to forgive you in every way you have disbelieved Him in the past.

2. Ask for Grace to wholly lean on His words in all situations.

 *Bible Reading* Romans 4:13-25.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
