Healing is Yours!

Text: Luke 5:24 

 *So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins." Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, "Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!"* 

 *Healing is part of God's programme of salvation.* Sin is the root cause of all the problems encountering man, hence if the Lord has given forgiveness, then He has also given healing.

When Jesus declared forgiveness of sin upon the paralytic man, he perceived the thoughts in the hearts of the pharisee, and he said to them:  "Why do you question this in your hearts?" Luke 5:22.

He thereafter proved to them that He has the authority to forgive sins on earth. He proved his authority by asking the young man to stand, pick up his mat and go home. (Luke 5:24)

 *Healing is simply a proof that Jesus forgives sins. So, if you believe in Jesus' authority to forgive sins, then you also must believe that He heals as well.* 

 *Forgiveness of sin is a package which includes Healing from sicknesses and diseases.* While some health issues are directly caused by your own sins (bad eating habit, sexual immorality, repercussion from wrong and poor lifestyles), health problems are generally traced to the fall of man in the garden of Eden. Man wouldn't need a doctor if not for the fall. We thank God for Doctors, but they are only managers and maintainers of the effects of the fall of man.

If only Adam and Eve knew the cost of their   fall on human race they wouldn't have yielded to the temptation. In the same manner, if only you could clearly see what Jesus has come to offer human race, you will run wild and wide to spread the good news.

 *Though, everything went bad in the world because of sin committed in the garden, but Jesus Christ  restored  everything through the salvation He brought via His death and resurrection.* The restoration of everything includes your healing.

 _But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed._ Isaiah 53:5

The same way you instantly believe in forgiveness of your sin, is the same way you need to believe in your healing. Simply BELIEVE! It's as as simple as that.

 *PRAYER FOCUS* 
Lay your hand on your head or any part of your body wherein you want healing.

Declare: Father Lord, I believe in the salvation brought through Jesus Christ your son. I believe and receive forgiveness of my sins through His death and resurrection. 

I believe and receive healing in my body through the provisions of redemption.

I therefore declare that I am healed by the stripes of Jesus. I receive healing from........in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil.
