UNBELIEVING BELIEVER

Text: Mark  9:24

*And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.*

The Son of a certain man was once possessed with an evil dumb spirit. Whenever it brings on a seizure, it throws him to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes stiff. So the man  asked jesus' disciples to drive the spirit out, but they didn’t have the power.” Mark 9:18.

So the man brought the boy to Jesus and reported the case to Him, When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into convulsions. He fell on the ground and kept rolling around and foaming at the mouth. Mark 9:20.

Then Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” He said, “Since he was a child.

The spirit has often thrown him into fire and into water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have pity on us and help us!”

Jesus told him, “‘If you are able?’  Everything is possible for the person who believes. Mark 9:23.

*With God, it's not a question of His ability but your ability to believe His capabilities.*

Jesus said everything is possible for the person who believes. The man realised the bulk has been passed back to him, and he took a wise step, :

With tears flowing, the child’s father at once cried out, “I do believe! Help my unbelief!”

Mark 9:24.

There's a general belief we all have in God, but your true belief status is revealed when you are faced with real life situation.

Like this man, you can equally ask God to help your unbelief. Open up to Him your doubts and your fears and be rest assured that He is always near to help.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...
