PRACTITIONER 2

 Text : Phi 4:9 ISV

 *Likewise, keep practicing these things: what you have learned, received, heard, and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.*

 *In the Kingdom of God, doing proceeds teachings. It's an aberration to teach what you are not doing.*

Today, we want to focus on the principle of teaching as we have it in God's kingdom.

The book of Acts opens with the account of Jesus. But notice the order in which it was recorded.

 ```In my first book, Theophilus, I wrote about everything Jesus did and taught from the beginning, ```` Act 1:1 ISV.
Notice that Jesus  'did' before he began to 'teach'. Anyone who has mastered the act of teaching what he is not practicing is not only a hypocrite but a messenger of death.
2 Corinthians 3:6 says who has also qualified us to be ministers of a new covenant, which is not written but spiritual, *because the written text brings death, but the Spirit gives life.*
If you are only teaching the text ( the letter), you are not only injurious to yourself, but also to your listeners. This is why you should be careful who you listen to.
To tap into the life the Spirit gives, you must be ready to do before you teach.
This is well exemplified in parents-child relationship.  A *child essentially do what the  parent does and not necessarily what they say.*
Christ expects us to be the living epistle that people read. He said in
Mat 5:16 that, In *the same way, let your light shine before people in such a way that they will see your good actions and glorify your Father in heaven.”*
The onus is on you to let people see your light by the way you live. Note that your life can make people glorify our Father in heaven and it can also bring reproach to His name.  Be a good practitioner of what you profess.
 *BIBLE READING* :
MATTHEW 7:21-29.
 *PRAYER FOCUS*
1. Father,  help me that by my everyday living, my life will bring glory to your name always.
THE GOOD FIGHT-2
Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...
WAY MAKER-2
Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...
BEWARE OF DOGS
Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
