*Text ;* Luke 6:38
*Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.*
We established from the book of Luke yesterday that the Lord would have us give Love, mercy forgiveness and money. He however warned on what we shouldn't give-Judgement and condemnation. Jesus told us not to judge and condemn others so that we would not be judged or condemned as well.
The kind of judgement Jesus is talking about here is not that of the court, settling of matters between two people, or condemning evil.
The following are instances of judgement and condemnation God wouldn't have us pass on:
1. Anytime you refused to give forgiveness to anyone, you have simply passed judgement and condemnation on that person.
2. Whenever you act or react in assumption towards your fellow humans, you are giving judgement and condemnation.
3.When you hear one side of a matter, and you reach a conclusion having not heard from the second person that is being reported, you have judged and condemned that person. Proverbs 18:17 says *"The first to speak in court sounds right— until the cross-examination begins"* NLT. So from this, you can imagine a Judge who passes his verdict based on what the plaintiff says only. That would be a terrible Judge you know. It is the same case when you only hear someone report your fellow brother and you believe what he says without cross-examination.
4. When you speak evil of your brother, you have judged and condemned him.
James 4:11 says _Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge._
5. When you pay back evil for evil, you have judged the person. Romans 12:17.
6. If you respect one person more than another based on riches and possessions, then you have judged one as poor. James 2:1-4.
7. When you speak against a sinner and you conclude his final destination as hell, without asking for God's mercy for such, you have judged such sinner(s) as hell fire candidate. When you see sinner(s) or hear of a sinful deed by sinner(s) or even your fellow believer(s), do always remember that Jesus died for such. He's paid a price on all sinners. Hence, you must not judge them to hell before their time. See the case of Jonah and Nineveh in the book of Jonah.
*Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.1 Corinthians 4:5*

*PRAYER REQUEST*
1. Father Lord, I ask that you give me eyes to see as you see, ears to hear as you hear , so that I may be able to discern people and situations appropriately.
