WHEN GOD IS SILENT(1)

Text: Matthew 4:1

*Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*

Sometimes, we are faced with hard and nutty situations that we are almost at the verge of breaking, and losing hope. At such times, it feels like God is far away or that He is not concerned about you.

When you find yourself in such situations as a true child of God, one thing you need to know is that "God never neglect His own" You must be rest assured in His promise:
*".......for he hath said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews  13:5)*

You must hold on to this promise and assurance of  "Divine Presence" of God tightly.  You must be well settled in this word of assurance from the unfailing Father. He has given a sure word that His presence will always be with us (in every situation and at all time)
*When you pass through the waters, I [will be] with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.*
(Isaiah 43:2).

From this promise, you can see that God did assure us of His divine presence and help in times of trouble. All through the Bible, God has always come through for his beloved children, but He never shield them from TEST. He always test his own. And sometimes, he allows the devil to carry out his temptation on us (which He  himself supervises to ensure that you are not tempted beyond measure) 1Cor. 10:13.

*If you desire genuine promotion in any area of your life, then you must be ready to be tested.*

*At the end of every test and temptation is Promotion.*
When God took the Israelites from Egypt, he passed them through wilderness for a test and many of them failed.
_But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.1 Corinthians 10:5_ They failed the wilderness test because they did not know the reason for wilderness.

Deuteronomy 8:2  says *And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, _and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no_ .*

May you not fail God during your wilderness experience in Jesus name.

 *BIBLE READING*: 1Cor. 10:1-13

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Lord, grant me strength and fortitude to stand in time of trial and temptation.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
