PAY ATTENTION TO LITTLE THINGS(2)

 *TEXT* : Job 8:7

*Though  your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly.*

The word of the Lord came to Zerubbabel in Zechariah 4:10 asking him "For who has despised the days of small things...?" I believe the Lord is still asking the same question from you today. This is because it is easy to always despise small things and small beginnings.
Small things often does not attract any form of applaud, praise or attention.  They are often negligible.

It is always good to start small and grow big, than start big and suddenly come into  decline . God's word has assured us that your beginning may be small but your latter end would  increase abundantly.(Amen).

You must be confident that  your small business will grow big, that small marriage will grow to provide home to many, the  small child in your hand will become great, that small relationship will become great. Your small church under a small tent today will soon  become a cathedral.

Everything small will always grow Big when it is nurtured with consistency and Gods breath.

You must allow God release his power into your small beginnings, so that His glory can be seen.

In the days of your small beginnings, God expects you to exercise yourself in the following :

*1. Be faithful in little things:* Do not say  I will be more faithful and committed when the assignment in my hands grow bigger. Rather,  you should be faithful when the assignment is small so that it can grow big.
_Luke 16:10 "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much"_

*2. Don't despise the smallness of your beginning:* The construction of a skyscraper always  begin with the laying of a block. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a step. So also, the journey into your greatness starts with a small step of faith.

*3. Avoid impatience:* Patience is a product of Love and Believe. The scripture says *"he that believe shall not make haste" Isaiah 28:16* We are often in a hurry to jump out of our small beginnings. It is helpful to know that your father may be a giant, but you can't get to his height in one day, you must do your own growing.

Be patient, your own time is coming. You grow into your greatness not by worrying,  or through gimmicks but by exercising  Patience and trust in the Lord. The only race you run by Patience (and not speed) is the race  set before you by Christ.
*"...... let us run with patience the race that is set before us* *Heb.12:1*

*4. Pray and Trust Him:* True and effective praying is actually a show of your trust in and dependence on God. *Prayer provides nurturing to your small beginning, just as what  water does to the little mustard  seed buried underground,*

 *BIBLE READING* : 2 King 4:1-7.

*PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Lord, help me and give me grace to always pay attention to little beginnings, little details, and little assignments.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

HIS VOICE- 2

Text : John 10:3. To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. We established yesterday that one thing you can't joke with as a true follower of Christ is *His Voice.* You must recognise and hearken to (obey) His voice. It is in doing this that your safety is assured.  Today, we want to see another responsibility of the Shepherd over His sheep.  To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, *and leads them out.* John 10:3.  He called you, that He might lead you. It is not enough for you to hear or recognise His Voice, you must allow Him to lead you as well.  Romans 8:14 says *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*   The Spirit leading you determines the family you belong to. Basically,  there are only two families in this world - the family of God, and the family of satan. In other words, we can say the Kingdom...
