DON'T BE DECEIVED 2

 *Text ;* Galatians  6:7

*Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.*

Yesterday, we looked at deception from the angle of self-deception  in relations to the kind of association we keep.

Today, we shall be looking at deception as it relates to sowing and reaping.

Isn't it amazing how man expects to reap something different from what he sows. In agriculture, you don't expect to reap mango from orange tree. The same law applies in life generally.

Jesus said in Luke 6:44 that every tree is known by its own fruit. People don’t gather figs from thorny plants or pick grapes from a thorn bush. Trees produce after its kind. That is, your harvest is precipitated on the kind of seed you have sown.

*Each day is an opportunity to sow a good seed that will count for you in eternity.*

Now, when people hear about sowing and reaping, the first thing that comes to mind is money. Yes, money could be sown but it's just one item out of many things that could and should be sown.

If you want to reap love, sow love. If you want kindness, sow same. Whatever you desire to harvest, start to sow it now.

If you want your daughter or son in law to treat you well, see to it that you treat your mother or father in law well. Some things only answer to principles and not prayers. The principle of sowing and reaping is one that even God cannot ignore.

*Don't be deceived,  you will reap what you sow, so pay attention to your seed.*

*For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.* Gal 6:8.

 *BIBLE READING* :

Gal  6:7-8.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Father, please give me the grace to consciously sow seed of good works that I might reap bountiful harvest of goodness.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
