HOLD YOUR PEACE (2)

Text: Exodus 14:14

 *The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.*

The International Standard Version(ISV) renders the Exodus 14:14 thus: *The LORD will fight for you while you keep still.”* It is the Lord's obligation to fight for you while you have the duty to hold your peace. This therefore affirms that, it only takes an unwavering faith in God for you to hold your peace in times of troubles.

Once upon a time, Jesus and his disciples were on the boat. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. The disciples lost their Peace and shouted, "Master don't you care that we are going to die?" (Mark 4:38, ISV)

This whole saga was going on while Jesus was sleeping. When they woke Him, he told the sea, "Calm down! Be still" (Mark 4:39, ISV). Instantly, the boisterous wind obeyed Jesus and it stopped. Jesus could declare peace on his environment because He is a custodian of peace. Infact, He is Prince of  PEACE Himself.
 *It takes one who has Peace on his inside to declare and manifest Shallom.*

It is however possible to have Jesus in your boat and still loose your peace if you are not walking in Faith. *You must always remember that no matter how strong the boisterous wind blows and threatens, it cannot capsize a boat(life) where Jesus stays in.*

Jesus, while He was in the troubled boat, He was sleeping because He is Shallom (Peace) Himself. Anytime you loose your Peace, look on the inside, it is possible you are not trusting God's presence in your life, you are in fear or you have somehow grieved the Holy Spirit. Though it is normal for challenges to come, but it must not be normal for challenges to take the peace of God's children.

We have the promise that God will keep us in Perfect peace because we trust in Him. So, *for you to continually experience Perfect Peace, you must continually trust God and rest your mind on Him .*

 ```Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.(Isaiah 26:3)```
 *BIBLE READING:* Mark 4:36-41.
 *PRAYER FOCUS*
1. Lord, help me to always see you clearly during my challenging moments so that I can always hold my Peace.
2. Father, I receive your Peace in my heart  concerning every aspects of my life.
THE GOOD FIGHT-2
Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...
IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN
Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...
IN MY NAME.
Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
