CHANGE 2

Text : Romans 12:2

*And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.*

Yesterday, we looked at a change that brings about transformation. Today, we shall be looking at the other side of the coin.

When you are not taking up the challenge for positive change (renewal), you will be left with the option of conformation to the world's system. It's either you are transforming or you are conforming. No middle ground!

Conformation comes to man naturally, but transformation is the change you must constantly embrace intentionally.

Conforming to the world is what every single being embraces right from birth. The only thing that could halt one's  conformation to this world is embracing Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Even after you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you need to constantly be renewed by the word of God for you to keep experiencing transformation.

*For every Christian, mind renewal must be ongoing for transformation to be progressive.*

The scripture warned us: "Be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed"

As you take a personal evaluation of yourself; Are there areas of your life you have been living  after the pattern of this world and its system? The Lord would have you respond to the gentle nudge of the Spirit as you behold the Lord's glory in mirror. 2Cor. 3:18.

While it takes a man who continually responds to the Spirit to experience transformation, it takes a man who continually responds to the flesh and its lusts to  stay in conformation to this world. And anyone who keeps on conforming to this world, will eventually perish with the world.

*As a child of God, you are only allowed to be conformed to the image of Christ.*
Romans. 8:29, Philippians 3:10.

 *BIBLE READING*
Romans 12:1-2

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Lord, give me the grace to desist from conforming to this world in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
