BED UNDEFILED

Text : Heb 13:4 ISV 

 *Let marriage be kept honorable in every way, and the marriage bed undefiled. For God will judge those who commit sexual sins, especially those who commit adultery.* 

Having looked at the need to keep your marriage honorable, today we shall be  looking at the other  important issues raised in the verse. It says that marriage bed must be kept undefiled.

Marriage bed is actually beyond the bed you lie on, it does  include the sexual intercourse between married couples. Hence, when a partner joins himself or herself with/to another person in any form of sexual engagements, that means that marriage bed has been defiled. 

Marriage bed can be defiled either by a single or married person. When marriage bed is defiled while one is yet to be married, that is called *_fornication_* . When it is defiled in marriage, that is called _*adultery*_ 
The two are sins not just to God but to oneself and one's partner(in marriage).

 *A man who goes after another man's wife is simply defiling  two beds. And these two beds consist of four persons.* (Himself, his wife, and the other couple). This defilement does not just end with these four persons, it extends to their children(and perhaps generation to come). 1Cor. 6:16. *Adultery and fornication are  self-destructive sins* Prov. 6:32.

I once met a man who keeps having trust issue with his wife. He literally would monitor this woman anywhere she goes. This man did unthinkable things for lack of trust for the wife. This gave me serious concerns as this woman could not enjoy her marriage. 

One day, the man opened up to me why he has been finding it difficult to trust his wife. The man told me a gory story about how he saw his mother with another man in the very act.. Interestingly, I saw the old woman(the man's mother). She is now old but the seed she has sown in her younger age is now bearing negative and evil fruits while she is still alive.

This man is pained, he has passed the pain to the wife, and the whole of his children always witness the scene between him and their mother. 

When God gives you instruction, it is not because He profits primarily from your obedience. It is simply because of His love for you and the huge gain you make from obedience to the Lord. 

There are many ways people now defile marriage bed. So many christians are are involved in this. The Lord is ready to give you help and deliverance today. He wants to clean you up. The Lord wants to renew your marriage wine. Are you willing to allow Him?

1. Lord, forgive me, and cleanse me of all defilement I have brought into my marriage. 

2. Deliver me and my household from every evil I have brought into my life and family through my fornication/adultery.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
