WORSHIP THE KING

Text :Matthew 2:2

*...Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and have come to worship him* .

The King of the Jews was born but the Jews knew nothing about it. They were ignorant of the arrival of their King. The Jews knew that Saviour was coming, but they were not prepared to receive the humble arrival of their King. Hence  they could not worship Him.

It is however intriguing to know that only wise men from the east could see Jesus. They saw His STAR and they searched for him just for one reason- *To worship Him.* You can imagine, these men came to worship "Baby Jesus" as the King. If these men searched for Jesus when He has not been affirmed by God as His Son, when he has not wrought any miracle, when he  has not died and risen; then better worship is required of us today. We must give Jesus an  extravagant worship like the woman with the alabaster box. We must come to Jesus with our very life and expend it on Him. (Math. 26:7)

*Worship goes beyond offering things to God, it's about offering Him your very life.* Romans 12:1

The wise men from the East only searched for Jesus just to worship Him as the King. The question you need to ask yourself is-why am I searching for Jesus today? Or, am I searching for Jesus at All?
All that the wise men wanted to do was to worship the "Baby Jesus" born in the manger. Today, that same Jesus has been exalted from manger to the right hand side of his Father in heaven. (Philippians 2:9). I believe that Jesus will forever remember those men who came to worship Him as the King, even as a baby(when He cannot give them anything in return). *Loving Jesus is simply seeking Him for Who He is and not for What He is.*  That is, to come to Him for Who He is and not just for What He offers.

Folks, this King Jesus (our Lord) is no more in the manger. There is no need for star leading anyone to him again. He Himself is now the very day star that is arising and shining in the hearts of many (2Peter 2:19).
Jesus himself shines as the bright and morning Star for all to see him and come to him.

The Wise men went to ask about Jesus from the wrong person and wrong place. They went to King Herod in the palace. They thought that he would also be interested in submitting himself in worshipping the newly born King (of kings).
Herod was only interested in killing the King of the Jews.
Whatever that is not submitting to the Kingship and Lordship of Jesus in your life, is Herod. Only Jesus must be seen, sought and exalted in your life. Nothing else and No one else.

Jesus, our king is the reason for this season. He alone is worthy of all your worship and no one else. You can re-align your life to start  Worshipping Him in a meaningful way than ever before.

Jesus is the king!
Jesus is our King!!
Jesus is  your King!!!
Worship Him, worship the King.

Bible reading: Mathew 2:2-10.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Lord Jesus, I am sorry for seeking you for things and not for who you are in true worship.

2. Lord Jesus, help me to pour my life on you in worship as the woman with the alabaster box. (Mathew 26:7).

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
