WHOSE IMAGE?

Text : Matthew 22:21

They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

The Pharisees, while trying to trap Jesus in His words, asked him if it is lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not. He asked them to show him the  tribute money(coin). Jesus then asked them concerning the coin given to him, "whose is this image and  superscription?" They replied, Caesar's!  Then he said unto them, render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

There are things that solely belongs to God, and He will never share with any one or anything else. Just as the image on the money reveals its ownership. So also the image you portray shows your ownership. So the question is: whose image are you carrying? You are God's image,  hence you must render yourself to the Lord. God is not interested in anything else except one thing that carries His image- YOU!

*God has no interest in your possessions,  His interest is in His image in you.*  You may offer God all of your money, without offering yourself, He will still not be satisfied. Until God receives what He has his inscription and image on, His glory will not be seen. Hence, the Father will do everything Within his power to restore his image in you. It is you He is looking for. It is you God wants. Once He lay hold on you, he automatically owns all that you have.

God cannot lay full claim on the ownership of the earth until He can lay hold on man( Since He has already given him the dominion over all his handiwork to him).

This is the reason, God went all the way to restore man back to himself(John 3:16). All other creations and creatures did not sin, only man did. And for that, Man lost His Place in God (both in heaven and on earth) So God had to send his son to the earth to redeem man. (Rom 8:19-23)

You must know that you carry God's image and his superscription. You are God's possession. You do not own yourself. The devil does not own you either. The devil only tries to forcefully put his things in you so he can lay hold on what is not his. That's why the devil is a thief- he kills, steals and destroys. What is he killing, destroying and stealing? - God's image and likeness in a man.

He stole man's identity in the garden, and Jesus came to restore it.... *The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly John 10:10.*

YOU ARE CARRYING GOD'S  SEAL UPON YOUR LIFE, DO NOT ALLOW THE ENEMY TO STEAL, KILL OR DESTROY IT.

Bible Reading: Genesis 1:26-31.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Lord, I committ  and offer my life to you afresh, cause me to rediscover the likeness and image I was created in through Christ Jesus.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
