COMPLAINTS

Text : Number 11:5

We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

We concluded yesterday that whatever memory that makes you to complain is ungodly and should never be entertained.  Today, we will take it a little farther.

God hates complaints and murmuring. Imagine,  He said He  will judge evil doers and He mentioned complainers among the list of these evil doers.
He will judge all people and convict everyone of all the ungodly things that they have done in such an ungodly way, including all the harsh things that these ungodly sinners have said about him.”
These people are complainers and faultfinders, following their own desires. They say arrogant things and flatter people in order to take advantage of them.Jude 1:15 &16 ISV

It may be easy for you to judge the Isrealites for complaining over such mundane things like cucumber and garlic. But if you reflect well, you will see yourself doing the same thing.
You, whom the Lord quickened after you have died in your trespasses and sins. Eph. 2:1.
Shouldn't you be eternally grateful for what He has done in and for you. Rather, you complain at any given opportunity.

A number of times, what we complain about may seem legit, but *a true child of God should know the difference between making a request and complaining.*

When the Isrealites complained to God about not having meat to eat, God provided meat for them, but this meat led to the death of some of them. Numbers 11:18-35.

Invariably,  if they had requested for meat, they could have gotten it without the accompanying consequence that their complaints attracted.

Even if complaints get you what you want, it won't leave you without its consequences.
One good way out of complaints is gratitude.
 *Rather than focusing on what you don't have yet, appreciate God for what you have and He will supply all your need.*

Bible Reading: Number 11:1-9

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

 ```1. Lord, forgive me for ways I have complained and murmured against you.
2. Give me grace to always be grateful.```
THE GOOD FIGHT-2
Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...
IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN
Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...
IN MY NAME.
Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
