SISTER MARY

Text : Luke 1:30.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

 In the beginning, the serpent spoke to the first woman, Eve, and the result was the fall of man as we have it in Gen.3. However, God in His mercy decided to save mankind, and by divine providence, He also chose to use woman.

When the devil wanted to get the attention of the woman, he spoke through the serpent, when God wanted to save mankind through the woman, He spoke through His angel, Luke 1:26-28.
The bottom line here is that, to get a woman's attention,  you must master the art of words. Some guys who have mastered this art had used it to the hurt of the unsuspecting, naive ladies. This is why a girl child should be well trained to desist from gullibility.

Please note that it is not only a woman that can be lured by words, men are equally susceptible, so let he who thinks he stands take heed, lest he falls.1 Cor 10;12.

As a parent, practice giving endearing words to your children, it will go a long way in preventing them from predators with sweet tongue. 

By nature, a woman has a softer heart. Irrespective of the age, endearing words affect a woman more than the man. Hence, the need for you to be careful who you listen to as a woman. And the need for you to be careful what you say to a woman as a man.

Eve listened to the serpent and we can all see the resultant effects till now. Marry listened to God's word through the angel, and the redemption of man was birth.

Whom are you listening to?  Who is speaking into your life?  _Note that your life will go in the direction of what you are hearing._ 
 
Romans  10:17 says So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. If faith comes by hearing, death also comes by hearing. You can ask Eve, she will explain better.

You may not have  control over what people say, but you surely do have control over what you do with what you have heard.
When Eve heard the serpent,  she considered what she had heard, and she acted on it, and the rest is history today. Gen.3:6. Also when Mary heard the angel,  she chose to believe it,  she said be it on to me according to your words. Luke 1:38.

It is important to be selective in what you hear, but more important than this is what you do with what you hear.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil.
