REWARD

 TEXT :  Gen. 15:1

After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward

God told Abraham He is his exceeding great reward. Abraham got this response because he was expecting a child from the Lord. Every child of God must learn this important thing that God is your reward. *When you learn to see God as your reward in all that you do, you will hardly see or receive dissapointment from any man.  Often than not, we get frustrated and dissapointed when we do not receive "weldone" from man. This is because we focus on wrong person.

If you start doing all things as unto the Lord, then all your reward shall also come from the Lord.  *And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Colossians 3:23* It may take time, but when your focus is in God for your reward  you will always have cause to Rejoice in the Lord.
*Wether you are duly rewarded or not, always discharge your duty as if you are working for the Lord.* When you do, your reward will always come from above.

Stop working as if you are doing someone a favour. Stop working for salary or allowance from man. Work for tangible reward from the Lord. Don't ever think that it's only Pastors or the clergy alone that are working for the Lord. You can be a Banker, Teacher, IT consultant, Doctor, Nursing mother, Student, or Security personnel and at the same time a full time worker for the Lord. When you see your work as a platform for God's glory and you see God as your employer, then you God's worker and employee, and you will surely receive your reward in full from Him and not from man.

When you start seeing God as your employer in whatever you do, then you are God's  worker, and He will reward you adequately. Some employers are yet to understand this truth.

As an employer don't ever see people(your workers or employees) as tools to be used to achieve your goals and ambitions,  rather see them as co-workers with you- working  for the Lord. Honour and relate with them appropriately.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
