DESTINATION


Text :John 14:6

 *Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.* 

When Jesus was about to depart from His disciples in the flesh, He told them that they knew where He was going (His destination) and the Way(Path) to get there. One of His disciples (Thomas) replied, "Lord, we know not where you are going; and how can we know the way?"

 *Knowing your destination is very important in life, but knowing the Way to your destination is much more important* . Many folks from different religious sects know their destination (presumably). They know there is God, they know there is heaven and they are willing to go to God but they do not know the way to God. 

Few days ago, my seven years old boy asked me, " Where are you going?" For lack of right answer to give (Since no particular place was in mind), I replied "I don't know".
Immediately,  the little boy replied, "you have to be careful o,  because 
 *People who do not know where they are going get lost easily."* I thought to myself, that's the truth! 

This is the truth even with you so many times. Do you know where you are going?
Are you sure of the way to your destination? If you are on the sure way, I hope you are not being distracted by the ruggedness, straitness or even the prosperity on the way?

No Prophet or any  acclaimed messenger of God has ever affirmed himself as the Way except Jesus Christ, our Lord. Others were not even sure where they themselves are going, needless to talk of them knowing the way.  

 *Jesus, the Son of God is the Way, the Truth and the Life- He is the Path, the Direction and the Destination.* 
As a believer, our final destination is the very Life(Zoe) of God. *To end in God's Life is our finished line* . And that Life is in Jesus. When you come to Christ, you must know that your destination is nothing else other than BECOMING like Him. Rom. 8:29. The Way (path) and the Truth(direction) to this Life(destination) is also Christ Himself. He is the EVERYTHING and the ALL IN ALL. Colossians.1:17.

 *Christ is everything-"For in him we live, and move, and have our being...." Acts 17:28*

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. HIS VOICE- 2

Text : John 10:3. To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. We established yesterday that one thing you can't joke with as a true follower of Christ is *His Voice.* You must recognise and hearken to (obey) His voice. It is in doing this that your safety is assured.  Today, we want to see another responsibility of the Shepherd over His sheep.  To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, *and leads them out.* John 10:3.  He called you, that He might lead you. It is not enough for you to hear or recognise His Voice, you must allow Him to lead you as well.  Romans 8:14 says *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*   The Spirit leading you determines the family you belong to.
