BUT I SAY UNTO YOU

Text : Mathew 5:44.

But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,

It's common to see and hear people talk about Grace today in a way that is not in consonance with the scriptures.

God's word is so clear about this matter, but people only hear what they want to hear. We paint things according to the colours of our minds.

The preachers and carriers of hyper-grace teachings pretend as if some parts of the scriptures are not included in their Bible.

Hear what Jude, a brother of Jesus in the flesh has to say about them:

_For some people have slipped in among you unnoticed. They were written about long ago as being deserving of this condemnation because they are ungodly. They turn the grace of our God into uncontrollable lust and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus the Messiah.Jud 1:4 ISV_

It is great wisdom to run away from false teachers and prophets,   avoid them like plagues, because they carry plagues with them.

Now, apart from what other teachers and apostles have to say about the commandments of God, hear what Jesus Himself is saying.

You have heard that it was said, ‘You must love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy.
But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,
so that you will become children of your Father in heaven, because he makes his sun rise on both evil and good people, and he lets rain fall on the righteous and the unrighteous. Mt.5:43-45.

Expressly,  Jesus told us that He has not come to abolish the law, but to fulfil it. As a matter of fact, Jesus raised the stake for us as far as the law is concerned and He gave us the grace to fulfil it.

The grace of God will teach you to deny ungodliness,  anything that makes you comfortable in your sin is not His Grace but an aberration.

You must pay close attention to everything Jesus is saying. If all you do is look out for everything written in red in the Gospel with the aim of obeying them, you would be pleasing to the father.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
