TRUST NOT IN MAN

Text : Psalms 146:3

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

God is God, He is no man that should fail. When God gives you His word, you can certainly count on it.

The word of God clearly warned that you should not put your trust in princes nor in the son of man. Why? No help can be found in man. Though man may be willing to help, but he is not sure of having his breath in his nostril till the next day. Man is limited by so many constraints and limitations.

Psalms 146:4 says that  _His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day, his thoughts perish._ Hence the Psalmist advised that  _It is better to trust God than man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.  It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes_. Psalms  118:8 -9.

God placed a curse upon any man that trusts in man and makes flesh his arm. Jeremiah 17:5. God wants the whole of your heart all for Himself. He wants you to solely TRUST  Him solely and nothing else.

You must deliberately start learning how to put your trust in God and not in man or princes. God and His works become more visible to you as you place your trust in Him. He never fails. He never disappoints. He is dependable, He is reliable at all times and in all situations.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
