DISOBEDIENCE

Text : 2Tim. 3:2 ISV 

 *People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,* 

One of the signs of end time is that children shall be disobedient to their parents. 

 *All the prophecies of the scriptures shall be fulfilled, whether positive or negative, but you don't have to be part of those who will fulfill the negative prophecies.* 

Now, this warning goes to two categories of people : the Parents and the children.

 *THE PARENTS*

Before a child would be termed disobedient, a set of instructions must have been given and flouted. This presupposes that,it is the responsibility of parents to guide and guard their wards.

Proverbs 22:6 says, _Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it._ 

Obviously, the verse clearly states who the trainer and the trainee is. If the parents are not slack in their duties, when the children are grown they wouldn't depart from the discipline. 

Note that no training is palatable when in process. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, for those who have been trained by it, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace.Heb 12:11 ISV.

As a parent, don't be absent on your duty post. One good way to show your love towards your children is through chastening.

 *Don’t withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with a rod, he won’t die.* Prov. 23:13 ISV.

 *Because the LORD corrects the person he loves, just as a father corrects the son he delights in.How well are you taking in correction?* Prov. 3:12.

 *THE CHILDREN* 

 *Any child who is taking pleasure in being disobedient to his parents is only fulfilling the end time prophecy albeit on the wrong note.* 

As a child, you may not even be glad or intend to be rude or disobedient to your parents, but if you find yourself doing so nonetheless, it's time to take your case to God in prayers so he can deliver you. 

Don't let the Spirit of end time catch up with you, never toy with disobedience. *There's a spirit responsible for unruly behavior in children, don't be ignorant of this.*

 _Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:_ Eph 2:2.

Note that your parents transcend just the two people who gave birth to you, but all those who laboured over you both physically and spiritually, and those old enough to be your parents.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil.
