BACK TO THE MAKER 2

Text : John 6:37.

*All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.*

We concluded yesterday that the steps to returning to God could be found in 2 chronicles 7:14. Today,  we shall attempt to X-ray  this verse :

*If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.*

1. *If my people* The word 'if' is a conditional statement. That is, it's not automatic, even as God's people, if you refused to follow His instructions, you will be left out in His promises.

2. *Which are called by my name.* :

*God is God over all but He is not father to all, fatherhood of God is only gotten through Christ Jesus.* Rom 8:14 says For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

ARE YOU BEING LED by HIS SPIRIT?

3. *Humility*: *It takes humility to admit your wrong and be willing to turn a new leaf.*

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:1Pe 5:6.

4. *Prayer :* 1John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. *Don't  economize words before God,  tell Him exactly what you have done and stop the cover ups.*

5. *Turn from your wicked ways:*

*It's not enough to acknowledge your sins, you must be willing and ready to turn from it* . You cannot continue in sin and ask grace to abound. Rom.6:1-2.

Jesus said,  He will not cast out those who come to Him. Run to Him today just as you are, and He will give your life true meaning.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

THE GREATEST

Text : Matthew 18:4   *Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.*   *Being the greatest in the kingdom is not about what you do but who you are.* Jesus pointed out here that little children are humble beings. Hence, what qualifies a person as the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is humility. Little children are both lowly and meek. These are qualities that does not come naturally to an adult. For instance, when you bring a little child from a wealthy background to live in a very poor home with another poor little child, he will gladly comply without any struggle. He will never complain or compare. He will simply adapt and gladly receive all the low and impoverished treatments. No adult or grown up child can accept this so easily.  That is the reason Jesus did not ask us to be converted and become as a child but ' *little child* '   _And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be co...
