IT IS WELL

Text :2 Kings 4:26  

 *Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.* 

*Though no one loves troubles, turbulence and adversity, but such are bound to happen and when they come, we must brace up in Faith and say: IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL*

Horatio Spafford, a successful attorney and real estate investor lost a fortune in the great Chicago fire of 1871. Around the same time, his beloved four-year-old son died of scarlet fever. He thereafter lost his four daughters to a terrible ship collision that sunk over 200 people 

His wife, Anna, survived the tragedy. Upon arriving in England, she sent a telegram to her husband that began: “Saved alone. What shall I do?”

Later, while at the spot where her daughters died(in a sunk ship), Horatio Spafford composed the hymn: _It is well with my Soul:_ 

When peace like a river attendeth my way  

When sorrows like sea billows roll  

Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say It is well, it is well with my soul..........

Life can be so unpredictable—difficulties can come unexpectedly. When the unexpected shows up in your life, you must learn not to say anything rashly.

A Shunamite woman received a miracle child through the prophetic word of Prophet Elisha in 2Kings 4:16. Unfortunately, the child died after some years

This child had a severe headache and died in the hands of his mother. This Shunamitr woman knowing the source of her blessing(God), locked up the dead child and rode to meet Elisha. The very first statement that a sorrowful woman uttered was: It is Well. 

She never told anyone about the situation except the one who can truly help her. *You must only open your nakedness and share your plight with the one who can truly help you.* Some people just take joy in listening to your story, not that they are willing to help. There are lots in this category. *You have the singular responsibility of being able to differentiate between sympathisers and Empathisers. People who empathise with you are called Burden Bearers.* Only burden bearers stand to share in your pains by seeking solution with you. 

The Shunamite woman told her husband and Gehazi it is well but caught the man of God by the feet because she could differentiate between sympathisers and empathisers. She knows where the solution to her problem would come from. 1King 4:27.

 *It is wisdom and faith to simply tell people who can't help you : It is well, but it is foolishness to tell someone who can truly help you all is well when it is not well.*

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE.
