Reward

Text : Mat 16:27.

*For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.*

*There's no one that understands and gives reward for work done like God.*

Heb 11:6 says But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that *he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.*

Unlike men, God is a just rewarder. He can't be bribed because He's  no respecter of persons, and He can't forget to repay because He is omniscient. He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

*Once you lose sight of the reward,  you lose the zeal to fight and the motivation to win.*

Before any rational man engages in anything, he asks himself ( albeit silently) and at times,  openly that "what's in it for me?

David said, "What shall be done to the man that kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" 1 Sam 17:26.

Though David already knew the reward that was promised to whoever kill Goliath,  but before he embarked on this valiant mission,  he stopped to confirm on two different occasions what's in it for him. Though David had been anointed to do exploits prior to this time, and he was confident in God about his victory,  yet,  he didn't want to lose the reward attached to the winner.

*The reason many people are not so focused on eternal inheritance is because the devil had made them lose sight of the reward.*

And the reason why many are ready to kill and be killed for earthly goods, fame and position is because they know what is in it for them.

Pray to God to open your eyes of understanding so you may know the Hope of His calling. Pray that God will open your heart to see what He has in stock for you

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
