REWARD 2

 Text : Mat 16:27.

*For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.*

*It is wisdom to take every word that comes directly from Jesus very seriously because it will come to pass.*

Jesus told His disciples empathically that He shall come  back in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works. Two things stood out from this statement :

1. It is so certain that He (Jesus) will come back to this world again. The second coming of our Lord is so sure. How are you preparing for His return?

2. He is coming back with rewards. And the reward is not general,  it is according to individuals' work.
That is, *you are the sole determinant of the kind of reward you get, your works spelt out your reward.*

Also, in Rev 22:12 Jesus declared again that  "behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

If rewards are given according to work done, then you ought to pay attention to your works.
Your faith in Christ Jesus can be tainted when you don't show good works to depict it.

Note that no man can be saved by works but by Grace through faith,  however,  your faith will be meaningless if it lacks works.

All of man's work is meaningless without faith in Christ. After coming to Christ however, you need to be giving to good works  in order to bring Glory to God.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.Mat 5:16.

What good does it do, my brothers, if someone claims to have faith but does not prove it with actions? This kind of faith cannot save him, can it?Jas 2:14. So faith without works is dead. James 2:17.

Paul gave us the conclusion of this matter in Eph 2:10, He says " *For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,* which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

*If you are in Christ Jesus, You hve been created unto good works. Walk in what you have been created for so as not to lose your reward.*

*Though man may fail in delivering their promised rewards, but God is always our sure and steadfast REWARD*

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Lord,  please help me to be mindful of my faith as well as my works so I  might not lose my reward.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
