HOW READY ARE YOU?

Text. : Mark 13:35.

*_You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return—in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak_ .*

*Get ready to meet the  Lord anytime He comes- Rapture and Jesus' second coming are realities that must come to pass.**

As I engage many young and active church goers on a simple question : " if they would make it  should Jesus suddenly appear during our conversation." The over 98% sincere responses I always got make me a bit concerned about what we do in our church buildings. Two questions that readily come to mind are :

1. What are people hearing about Jesus Christ and His kingdom in the church today?

2. Why do people know that Jesus Christ is coming back just as He once came into the world to die for our sins, yet they are not perturbed about their ' _'unreadiness'_  for His return?

At the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, two angels appeared to his disciples and said to them "men of Galillee, *“...why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” Acts 1:11*

The Lord is also saying to you now not to stand and stare  into heaven, but to prepare to go with Him anytime He appears. It's a daily preparation of the heart. If you have not made a decision to give your life to Jesus Christ, this is just the right time. If you are one leg in and one leg out, this is the time to come to the Lord's side fully. If you have turned back from following the Lord (backsliden), this is another chance to turn to the Lord again. If you are secretly indulging in one sin or the other as a child of God, this is your opportunity to embrace the Grace that is greater than sin.

The time is short and the devil knows this.

*"...the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time.” Rev. 12:12.**

In view of this shortness of time, we were  commanded by God through Apostle Paul not to be distracted by the mundane(earthly and worldly) transactions.

_"But let me say this, dear  brothers and sisters: *The time that remains is very short* . So from now on, those with wives should not focus only on their marriage. Those who weep or who rejoice or who buy things should not be absorbed by their weeping or their joy or their possessions. Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away._ 1Cor 7:29-31

*The train of salvation is moving, make up your mind, receive Grace and shake off the shackles of sins, get on board NOW.*

Tommorrow is not only late but it is not yours unless it is given.*

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. LORD HELP ME TO BE READY AND STAY READY FOR YOU ALWAYS

 *Bible Reading: Mark 13:5-37.*

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
