IT IS FINISHED

TEXT:John 19:30.

*When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.*

Jesus declared it is finished because He has accomplished His own part of the deal. It is now left for the Father(God) to raise Him. Having pleased and trusted His Father, Jesus committed Himself into the Father's hands:

_And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.Luke 23:46_

God kept His deal by not leaving His soul in Hell.

_For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption Psalms 16:10_

On the cross, Jesus finished:

1. *SIN:* God poured His wrath for Sin on His Son on the cross. Man was reconciled back to God through His death.(Rom 5,:10). Jesus drank all the cup of the Father's wrath. He became sin for us (2Cor. 5:21). The Father offered the son as a sacrifice for our sin. He was made a sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God.

*There is no better proof of God's LOVE towards you than the death of His Son on the cross.*

2. *CURSE* Jesus took away the curse of the law on the cross.

_Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: Galatians 3:13_

*HIS DEATH TOOK CURSE AWAY AND GAVE YOU BLESSING, SO YOU ARE BLESSED BEYOND CURSE.*

3. *Death* : *Jesus did not only finished death but He also destroyed the one who has the power of death- Satan.*

_Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Hebrews 2:14_

The death of Jesus on the cross was the greatest undoing of the devil.

Jesus finished the task given Him by the Father and by so doing, reconciled man back to God through His death.

_And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation_ . 2Cor 5:18-19.

Anyone that has genuinely understood and experienced what Jesus did for mankind on the cross, will forever be grateful.

You need to reconsider your position with Christ today. You may need to examine yourself; either to receive Him or take a deeper walk with Him.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Ask the Lord to open your eyes to see the finished works of Christ in your life.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
