Text : psalms 30:5
*For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.*
There are days when it feels as though you have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Times when you feel unnecessarily edgy, days when you feel lonely, discouraged, tired and really overwhelmed. Well, welcome to the humans' world. This kind of feelings is not peculiar to you, it is common to man.
King David(the man after the heart of God) was once in that shoe at a time. That was why it was recorded that he encouraged himself in the Lord. 1 Sam. 30:6.
Elijah (the prayer man) was at the verge of giving up before God showed up for him. 1 Kings 19:1-18.
Even our Lord Jesus Christ felt overwhelmed at a time when He was here physically. That was when He desired Peter, John and James to watch with Him in prayers but they couldn't.
Then he told them, “I’m so deeply grieved that I feel I’m about to die. Wait here and stay awake with me.”Mat 26:38 ISV.
When he went back to the disciples, he found them asleep. He told Peter, “So, you men couldn’t stay awake with me for one hour, could you? Mat 26:40 ISV.
So it is clear that *while we are still on this side of eternity, we are liable to all kinds of feelings, and that's why you are not to live by feelings but by faith.*
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.Heb 10:38.
Faith is always in the 'NOW'. *Regardless of your situation, the currency you live by as a child of God is Faith and never by your feelings* because your feelings will not always be right.
*To live by faith is to obey the truth and the word of God is the truth.* 1 Peter 1:22.
To draw back according to Heb. 10:38 is to withdraw one's self from the faith or to give up, and God has no pleasure in such people.
*God is saying to you today to hold on, For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.*
Heb 10:37.
*Maybe you are in your night time, hold on, don't give up yet. Joy is coming in the morning.*
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5.
They that sow in tears shall reap in JOY. psalm 126:5.
*Be like David, encourage yourself in THE LORD. TAKE ALL YOUR BURDENS TO HIM FOR HE CARES FOR YOU.*
*PRAYER FOCUS*
1. Lord, help me to see you in the midst of difficult and unpleasant situations.
Bible Reading: Psalm 126:1-6.
