GOD'S EYE GLASSES

Text : Psalms 90:12

*So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom*

*One major teaching every man needs, is the wisdom to know how to number his days* .

It takes God's grace and wisdom upon a man to be able to know that he is not going to be here(on earth) forever. Hence, you need to learn how to apply your heart unto wisdom. To do this, you need God's eye glasses. This will help you to start seeing and doing things in light of ETERNITY.

*Though man is living in TIME, but he is an ETERNAL being*

The Hebrew word *'manah'* which was translated as *number* in Psalm 90:12 can also mean to consider, count or prepare. So we can read the verse thus:

_Teach us to count our days....._

_Teach us to consider our days....._

_Teach us to prepare our days....._

This means that your stay on this side of eternity is within a very short time frame. Hence, you need the teachings of God to be able to count, consider and prepare it.

If you have ever used someone's recommended eye glasses, you may wonder what is the use of the eye glasses, because you have good sight. Some other times, when you use a recommended glasses that is not yours, it makes you see things the way the user sees it. In the same manner *When you take on God's eye glasses you see the way God sees. It makes you see everything in view of eternity.* With the aid of God's eye glasses, you gain eternal perspective of your existence while you are living within the frame of time.

God's eye glasses is the only thing that will help you See the hope that God is calling you into. This is the living and lively HOPE. The very hope that does not fade away. The Hope of eternal life can only be seen through God's eye glasses. 1 Peter 1:3.

God's eye glasses will help you to carefully consider the shortness of your time on earth, so that you can prepare your days and apply your heart unto wisdom.

What then is God's eye glasses? God sees and judges through His Word. Jesus Christ (being the express image of God and His word) is God's eye glasses. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:John 5:22, John 1:1, Heb. 1:1-3.

*The teachings that help you apply your unto wisdom are the teachings that emanate from Christ* . As you keep hearing Christ, wisdom keeps entering your heart, for Christ is the wisdom of God. (1 Cor. 1:24, Colossians 3:16).

*Everything that the world stands for, celebrates and exalts will fade away as you look through God's eye glasses.*

As you keep following the commands of Christ, you are able to see exactly how God sees. Then your heart will become wise. You must know that:

*Eternity is in your heart, therefore stop living as though you are a temporal being*

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Pray that God will help your heart grasp the clear picture of eternity.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
