DON'T SCARE AWAY THE CLOUD(1)

Text : Numbers 12:10

And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous_ 

Have you ever wondered why the Holy Ghost had to *Kill* Ananias and Saphirra? (Acts 5:3-10). They simply told a A,'small' lie. Small lie? Yes, small lie! They did not steal money from the synagogue's treasury, they did not commit adultery with any church members, they did not even fold their arms showing _"I- Don't-Care attitude_ " towards the growing need of the church. They were only trying to selfishly help like Uzzar who tried to stabilize the cart carrying the Ark. (2Sam 6:6-7).The consequence of this 'smal'l lie of Ananias and Saphirra, and the "small touch' Uzzar was death.  

The lie of Ananias and Saphirra can truly be looked at as small when compared to the prevalent evil and atrocities in our churches today.

If church leaders were to call for true revival, solemn and reawakening Holy Ghost meeting, It will surprise you to know that all the sins in our communities are proportionately represented in our churches, especially at the workers'/leaders' level.

If Ananias and Saphirra who as well were under the GRACE dispensation as we are today were instantly judged for their sin, then that lie must be a grievous one to the Holy Ghost. No lie is a small sin. And theirs was no small as well to the Holy Ghost. Their sin was simply able to put off the cloud in the midst of the church.

I can suggest few reasons why the Holy Ghost took them away for their sin. 

1. *The integrity and purity of the newly born CHURCH((pillar and ground of the truth) had to be preserved.* 

".....that thou may know how you ought to behave yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, *the pillar and ground of the truth* .1 Timothy 3:15  

2. Secondly, Peter didn't want to joke with the Presence of the cloud watcher(Holy Ghost). In essence, the Apostles cannot afford the absence of the Godhead in their midst. If you carefully read Acts 5: 3,4 & 9, you wil hear Peter mentioning Holy Ghost, God and Spirit. He was simply defending the cause of the Cloud. 

As a follower or a leader, you have a responsibility to play in order not to scare away the presence of the cloud in a corporate gathering (church or any gathering under God).

Ananias and Saphirra's case should put fear in the heart of any genuine believer. For the Hyper Grace preachers and followers, one sincere question I will ask is : Are Ananias and Saphira not under GRACE dispensation as we are today?

Please let us FEAR. Let us allow holy fear and reverence for the Lord in our hearts than ever before. 

 *Mercy Lord!!!* 

It is possible you and I have scared away the cloud off the tent of meeting due to weaknesses in the flesh and sins in the past. But the Lord is calling for a change of heart at this time.

You can't keep scaring away the presence of God like Miriam and Aaron did in the old testament. Because of their sin, the cloud departed from the tabernacle of meeting. 

In the case of Ananias and Saphirra, they did not succeed in scaring away the cloud, they were rather quenched in order that the cloud may remain.

If the Holy Ghost leaves a gathering, church or meeting because of your Achanic sin, examine yourself and do something very fast to correct yourself and repent. But if He had to stay or come back, then Achan, Uzzah, Ananias and Saphirra would have to go. He cannot stay in a tent of meeting with these ones. The cloud either remains or they go.

Can you humbly and dilligently do a critical spiritual check up today?

 _Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent_ .Revelation 2:5

 *PRAYER FOCUS* 

1. Ask the Lord for Grace and strength to deal with every hidden sins in your life.

2. Pray for a personal revival in your life.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil.
