AT YOUR WITS END?(1)

Text : Luke 5:5

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net_*

I can remember one hilarious moment when my little boy was trying to solve a particular problem and from the blues he just yelled " I quit" He said it with all sense of seriousness- "I quit"

This boy passed a " *Quit Notice* " on himself. He gave up trying because he was tired of meeting walls and dead end. He didn't believe he could solve that particular problem again. After several trials and attempts, he quit.

While a child would boldly say and shout out his own quit notice, so many matured ones express theirs in different forms of emotions and attitudes- anger, hate, loneliness, isolation and withdrawal, depression, suicidal thoughts and attempts, moodiness, confusion, lack of focus, tiredness, fatigue e.t.c

Are you at your wits end?

Are you feeling like yelling "I quit" like that little boy?

*Then it is time to become vulnerable with Jesus our Merciful and Faithful High Priest. (Hebrew 2:17)*

Are you tired of waiting on God for a particular need! Constant disappointments, failures, character flaws, sin and inability to break off from a particular addiction, undesirable status and estate?

Common, tell it to Jesus exactly how and where it hurts! Cry and yell like my little boy "I quit".

The moment my little boy shouted "I quit" I could understand his frustration and vulnerability. He uttered the struggles in his mind and he recieved help. I quickly reached out to him.

Don't get it twisted. Telling God about your vulnerabilities, fears and frustrations does not mean you are lacking in faith. In fact hiding your struggles away from GOD is a show of self reliance, pride and arrogance.

Jesus did the same thing my little boy did. Our Lord, on three consecutive times went to the Father and told Him about how He feels about the cup(crucifixion) He was to be served.

What's on your mind? Stop bottling up. Cry to Jesus for Help. This is not time to be playing religious pranks around your WAYMAKER and HELPER. While you know He is the Almighty, it is possible you have quit trusting Him sometimes ago. It is possible you have silently retire without anyone around you knowing about it.

_He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”Mathew_ 26:29

Our Lord opened up to the Father how He felt. Don't forget He was indwelt in by the Holy Spirit.

Open up how and where it hurts before the Lord and you will receive Real help today.

Jesus went before the Lord three good times before His burden can be lifted. You too should go as many times as possible, till your burden is lifted.

*Go before Your Father and stop hiding the fact that you have gotten to your wits end.*

Now, You must Go!

Bible reading: Mark 9:21-25

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Tell the FATHER exactly HOW and WHERE it hurts. Tell Him about your struggles and

2.Ask Him for Mercy.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

DECEITFULNESS OF SIN 2

TEXT. Hebrews 3:13  *But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin* .  *While deceit is a sin, Sin itself is deceitful.* Sin has the capacity to lure a man to do stuffs. *One of the major vices of the devil is to make sin appear attractive and unharmfult.* If Eve could see what the consequences of eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would be, she would have resisted the deception of the man of sin. She was simply deceived.Gen, 3:6 While it is no news that all sinners are already condemned to deceitfulness of sin, it is sad to know that many children of God (like Adam and Eve), are being easily deceived by Sin. See the case of Ananias and Sapphira, Acts 5:1-13. Many Christians today are still playing the same game of smartness this couple played. I call it smartness because that was what they thought they were doing. While they thought they were smart, Peter knew that Satan h...
