THE LABOURES 2

Text : Mat 9:37 KJV 

 *Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;* 

In farming, more caution is required during harvesting than it is during planting. The hallmark of the labourer is his ability to gather harvests unto eternal life. 

The one who harvests is already receiving his wages *and gathering a crop for eternal life* , so that the one who sows and the one who harvests may rejoice together.Joh 4:36 ISV.

We cannot leave newborn babes in Christ on the side of the road to fend for themselves after we have completed our gospel conversation. It is beautiful to be instrumental in birthing a new life in Christ. But it is very important to see that the newborn is placed in a viable position that ultimately leads to eternal life. 

Paul said "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,"Gal 4:19. The essence of the travailing is to see Christ being formed in the newborns. 

This is one good labour of the harvester, gathering Souls unto eternal life. 

Eternal life comes by hearing and believing the word of Christ. That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.John 3:15. *Eternal life simply comes through Jesus Christ.* 

Rom 6:23 says, For the wages of sin is death; *but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord* .

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.Joh 6:68. *That is, eternal life is contained in the word of Jesus* It is the work of the labourers to expose people to the word of eternal life. There's no alternative to this. Any program devoid of the word of eternal life will only bring death to the people. 

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: *for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.* 2Co 3:6.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: *the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life* .Joh 6:63.

 *How well are you heralding the word of life?* 

 *PRAYER FOCUS* 

1. lord, make me a able minister of the word of life, that I may gather souls unto eternal life.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life.
