JESUS OUR GIFT

Text : Romans  6:23

.....but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The greatest Gift God had ever given and will ever give to humankind is Jesus Christ.

This is another festive season that brings you another fresh remembrance of God's Love for you.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16.

The love of God for you is already expressed in the birth and death of Jesus Christ. You will not experience any greater prove of God's Love than what He already did in  Christ Jesus.

All other love and gifts that you will receive from God will be through and in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:32 says:

"Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?"

Jesus is the prerequisite Gift for Every other gifts we shall receive from God. If we have Him, we already gotten all things.

You need to prepare your heart to receive Jesus Himself,  before you start seeking any corruptible gifts. Let Him be the very essence of your life.

Be very sure of the kind of RELATIONSHIP you have with Jesus before the year runs to an end.

Are you satisfied with Jesus as the Gift your heart desires, or is He just a means to  the gifts God wants give you?

*Though, there could be many gifts from God, but the Greatest of them all is Jesus Christ. He is our GIFT in this season and forever.*

Bible reading: John 3:16-31.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
