DIVORCE

 https:Text : Matthew 19:6

So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, man must never separate.”

The Spirit of the Lord has been nudging me to write on the issue of divorce for some time now , and I have been somewhat draggy(for obvious reasons). But He impressed it in my heart again today, so here we are.

Because many people(Christians inclusive) are playing down on the topic of divorce, it seems as though God has finally understood our lowly estate and have lowered His standards on the issue of divorce.

Well, the word of God is  forever settled in heaven. And this is what He has to say on the matter :

“ *Indeed, the LORD God of Israel says that he hates divorce,* along with the one who conceals his violence by outward appearances,” says the LORD of the Heavenly Armies. “So guard yourselves carefully, and don’t be unfaithful.”Malachi 2:16 ISV.

It doesn't matter who is involved,  what the Lord said He hates, He can't condone it for anybody.

You will do well to hate what He hates.

This matter of "divorce" has been raising dust since time immemorial, but when Jesus was asked, He said categorically that from the beginning it was not so.

He told them, “It was because of your hardness of heart that Moses allowed you to divorce your wives. But from the beginning it was not this way.Mat 19:8 ISV.

The devil is bent on destroying homes, because he knows that's the only platform where godly seeds are raised.  Do not cooperate with him to tear down what God has raised.

*What God has joined together, man (yourself)  inclusive must not put asunder.*

Bible reading: Matthew 19:1-12.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
