REAL STEALING

Text : John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

It is convenient to think that what the thief has come to steal are your earthly possessions like cars,  house,  jobs,  phones, your promotions,   your rights and privileges  etc. But the truth is "this thief" doesn't have interest in any of these things. 

At this point, I think it's best we put a name to this thief. Well,  he's no other foe than the devil himself. Basically,  he has three-goal agenda viz: **steal

       **kill and 

       **destroy.

The real thing that the enemy is out to steal in your life is the seed of eternal life in you. Matt. 13:19. Everything he does (positive or negative) is to ensure that you lose grip of the word of truth which is able to save you. 

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.James 1:21.

Also,  you should know that the enemy is not just stealing but he is killing as well. Many Christians  are just a replica of the church at Sardis which was recorded in Revelation 3:1, they have a reputation for being alive but are dead. 

This is a dangerous position to be- being dead while living.  Today the Lord is extending His grace to you.  He is calling to repentance,  watch and strengthen what remains. 

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.Rev 3:2 KJV 

Jesus said He has come that you might have life. John 10:10. He further says the words He speaks to you are spirit and life. 

 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, *they are spirit, and they are life.* Joh 6:63.

 *To stop the thief from stealing the Real Deal from you, you must be ready to receive the life of Christ via His words* .

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell?
