GOD'S EQUATIONS-VALUES

Text :Luke 16:15

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Equation according to dictionary is the act or process of equating two or more things, or the state of those things being equal (that is, identical). Just as man has his own equations, God also has His. But God's equations are different from man's. God spoke about many equations that are contraty to that of man.

Today, we shall be looking at God's equation  as it relates to Value. The word Value simply means the quality (positive or negative) that renders something desirable or valuable.

Jesus wrote one of His equatioms on Values thus:"....for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God"

When man says this is highly esteemed, God says this is an abomination. Man's values and God's value cannot equate in any way. Most of the things that are celebrated in our world today are abominable in the sight of God.

There are lots of works, celebrities and famous folks in our world today that are highly esteemed and celebrated but are abominable before the Lord. As a child of God, we must view things with God's eye glasses. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.(Isaiah 55:9).

As believers, we must learn to see Values from God's perspective. The definition of riches to God is not the same for man. God said to the rich church of Laodicea(rich according to man's value)that they are poor. (Rev 3: 17-18)

Man's equation says or believes that life depends on abundant possessions but Jesus said, "a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth".(Luke 12:15).

Don't flow with popular opinion, rather chose to go with God's opinion.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
