PERILOUS TIME

Text:  2 Timothy 3:1

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come .

The perilous(difficult) time which Apostle Paul wrote about is already here. Perilous times are times characterize by Gross disobedience to God. The devil knows that he has but short time before his final  judgement, hence he is working hard to kill, steal and destroy. Rev. 12:12, John 10:10

The features and signs  of the last days are vividly pointed out in the scripture(2Tim 3:2-8)

People will love only themselves and their money.

*They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God,disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful* .

*They will consider nothing sacred* .

*They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control.*

*They will be cruel and hate what is good* .

*They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.*

*They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly* .

Paul sternly warned that you stay away from people exhibiting such as mentioned above. And if you are caught in the web of these perilous times features, then you need to ask God to help and deliver you.

..Stay away from people like that! 2Tim 2:5

Let me say to you that Paul was not writing to unbelievers. He was not saying that Timothy and the church should stay away from unbelievers. Rather, he was referring to those inside the church. He mentioned  that these people will *act religiously, but they will reject the power that could make them godly* 2Tim 3:5

The Lord will have you check your life today for proper adjustment.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
