BEFORE THE EVIL DAYS

Text: Ecclesiastes 12:1

Remember now your Creator in the days of your yputh: Before the days of evil come,  and the years approach when you will say,  "I have no delight in them".

One good reason you are told to remember your Creator in the days of your youth is because of the evil days. That the evil days will come is not negotiable, but what you do before the evil days come is all that counts.

Now, the evil days does not mean some external evil or unfortunate events will befall you. Rather, the evil days is your old age, or your night times.

That is why Jesus said in John 9:4 that He must work the works of Him that sent Him while it is day,  because the night comes when no one can work.

With that simple statement, we can deduce what the day time is meant for.

It is to do the works of Him who sent you.

The night for some, may not  necessarily mean old age,  but the day of death.  Jesus died in the flesh before he was 34years. He understood the shortness of the time  to the point that when He was giving up the ghost,  He boldly declared that " it is finished".

Your preoccupation before the evil days is to walk in the light.Jesus is the Light. In Him is life and the life is the light of men. John 1:4.

Anyone who is not in the Light (Jesus),  is in the night time already regardless of his age. He can't work any work whether young or old.

Bible reading: Ecclesiastes 12:1-14.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
