ACKNOWLEDGING GOD IN ALL THINGS.

Text: Proverbs 3:6

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths_

Something happened to me yesterday that taught me a fresh lesson on the need to acknowledge God in all our ways.
I jotted down some  important nuggets/thoughts on a piece of paper and dropped the paper on the desk in my office.

Few days later, I needed to add to the nuggets. I started looking for the paper but couldn't find it. I called all the family members together and demanded that they help look for the paper. While searching, I kept insisting that the paper was kept on the office table. I pushed the responsibility on my family members.

In the midst of this confusion, our first son kept reiterating that we should ask God where the paper is. That was about the last thing I wanted to hear because I was so sure they had mistakenly swept the paper from the house and possibly discarded it.

I reluctantly ask that we pray. So we ask the Holy Spirit to help us find the paper. The younger boy who has been very uninterested in the search was playing with a ball. Because the ball was seized, he decided to go look for another in our bedroom.  While he was looking for the other ball, he FOUND the Missing paper.(Rom 8:28)

The Lord found for us the missing paper we couldn't have FOUND ourselves.

In a very practical way, God wants us to acknowledge Him in all our ways. We must entrust God with every details of our lives. (2 Sam 2:1)

God must be FIRST in our lives. We must practically give Him the first place in our lives. We must seek Him FIRST before any other thing(Mathew 6:33).

Sometimes we are being deceived to think that certain aspects of our lives does not concern God, and that we can handle them better .  Please let God take preeminence in your life today. Enthrone Him and make Him the King over everything in your life.

In this new month, intentionally acknowledge Him in all you do.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
