LET THERE BE LIGHT

Text: Genesis 1:3

And God said,  Let there be light : and there was light .

From the very beginning,  we were made to understand the following :

1. That the earth was formless and empty.

2. Darkness was upon the face of the deep.

3. The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2.

Then,  God stepped into the scene. His intent was to deal with the formlessness, emptiness and darkness that was prevalent prior to that time.Though,  He is God,  yet,  He couldn't do anything until He called light forth.

Hence, the very first thing God created or spoke into existence was light. When light came the following things took place :

1. Goodness : Light  always bring goodness. God saw the light and said "it was good". Goodness is always preceded by light.
If there's any aspect of your life that you desire to experience goodness, then,  it's time to allow   the reality of what God did at the beginning to repeat itself in your life.
Invite His Light into the situation.

2. Separation from darkness. If the light you have is not separating you from darkness and dark works, then it's not the light from God. There's no fellowship between light and darkness. 2Cor.6:14.

The Light of God is set to  deal with every formlessness, emptiness and darkness in your life.
John 1:1-5, made us to know that Jesus Christ is that light that brought about goodness and separation from darkness.

Call Him into the affairs of your life today and darkness will disappear.

Bible reading: Genesis 1:1-5. John 1:1-5.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
