FEAR HAS TORMENT

Text: 1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear,: because fear has torment. He that fears us not made perfect in love_ .

Fear of danger or anything  actually kills faster than the actual danger. Some years back when I  was in the secondary school,  one mischievous boy caused a great deal of trouble to the whole school.

From the blues, he just started shouting snake!  snake!! snake!!! Immediately everybody started running helter skelter.  One of the students jumped through the glass window and got seriously injured. Some others got head injuries, leg injuries and so on. Other students who didn't even hear the guy nor knew the reason for the pandemonium just blindly joined in the wild race.

In less than a minute,  I happened to be the only one left in the class. Not that I was not scared but I wanted to see the snake so I could run in the right direction. Later when some level of calmness was restored,  it turned out that there was no snake after all,  the guy was just playing an expensive prank.

I'm sure you can relate with that story.  And the story is so true to a number of fears that we nurse. The truth is, fear is a bondage. (Romans 8:15, Hebrews 2:15). God has not given us the spirit of bondage again to fear.

Fear is essentially a spirit, hence you need to deal with it with in the word of God and in the place of prayer. Once you have the understanding that it is a spirit,  you will be able to deal with it effectively. For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.(2 Tim 1:7)

If God has not given us the spirit of fear,  then it is from the devil. When fear of anything enters into your heart,  get the word of God that counter such fear and cast out the spirit in the name of Jesus.

Do not fight fear in your thought. Speak out the word to counter any projection of fear into your mind.

Every torment of fear comes to an end in your life today in the name of Jesus.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE. Matthew  7:6 says *Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.*  Essentially, dogs don't have capacity to r...
